7up has announced that their sugar-free soft drink, formerly known as 7up Free, will from now on go by the name 7up Zero Sugar. This name change is intended to more clearly indicate that the product contains no sugar. The revamped 7up Zero Sugar retains its signature refreshing lemon-lime flavour, with no added sugar, colourings or caffeine.
This repositioning follows a broader trend within the soft drinks industry, with brands renaming their sugar-free products to ‘Zero Sugar’ to more clearly inform consumers about the sugar content. Sugar-free variants of 7up were previously offered under the name 7up Zero Sugar in some countries.
The introduction of this name change is accompanied by updated packaging that emphasises the brand’s fresh and modern look.
